Bike Shop at Barber Park

The Greensboro Community Bike Shop at Barber Park was formed in April 2022.

Our mission includes:

  • Sustainability - Keeping bicycles out of the landfill by repairing or recycling them

  • Public Health - Provide people with free bicycles to use when needed

  • Workforce Development - Providing repaired bicycles through social service providers

  • Education - Teach everyone to fix their own bicycles and to ride safely

  • Volunteerism - We work with our many volunteers on a variety of endeavors

  • We achieve more by working cooperatively and collectively in equal partnerships.

  • We all work within our specialized skills while learning from each other.

  • We work in a spirit of experimentation, constant testing of technologies, and innovation.
