Public Comments Needed: Bike Lanes in Greensboro

The City of Greensboro’s BiPed Plan Update recommends bicycle lanes on a section of N Elm Street, as part of the City’s strategy to install 75 miles of bicycle lanes in five years.  The Elm Street corridor, from Bellemeade Street to Cone Boulevard will be affected.  The project will make Elm Street safer for cyclists and encourage more bicycle usage on that street.

More detailed information can be found on the City’s website:

Cyclists Support GSO bonds

Our friend, Dusten Winebarger from BIG, submitted this great letter to the N&R, in support of the bonds... "Before you step into the voting booth, Bicycling in Greensboro wants you to know a few reasons you should vote "yes" in support of the Greensboro Transportation and Parks bonds this November."  http://www.greensboro.com/opinion/letters_to_editor/cyclists-support-parks-transportation-bonds/article_b3d0994a-4500-5fcc-b803-0188a63a5259.html#.WBMbpYB9QY4.twitter
